MYCO
High pressure liquid chromatography (HPLC) can be used to investigate the lipids of the mycobacterial cell wall. As the lipid composition varies among the species, the HPLC profile can be used for species identification. This site houses the largest library of mycobacterial profiles currently available.
Mycobacterial HPLC profiles can be searched:
• only one cluster of peaks in the first part of the graph
• only one cluster of peaks in the second part of the graph
• two clusters of peaks in the first part of the graph
• one cluster of peaks in the first part and one in the second part of the graph
• two clusters of peaks in the second part of the graph
• one cluster of peaks in the first part and two in the second part of the graph
• three clusters of peaks in the second part of the graph
